What I have learnt after I watch the video clip:

This video clip teaches me a lot. In the clip, the people are the ones whom I envy the most as they are determined to continue to fulfil their dreams even though unfortunate things happen to them. There are some quotes which are meaningful to life. "To accomplish great things , we must not only act, but also dream: not only plan But also belief." by Anatole France
How you respond to challenges in the second half will determine what you become after the game... Whether you are a winner or a loser." By Lou Holtz.

My personal views why those people featured had finished strong

Even though their dreams had been shattered by some unfortunate happening, they are determined to complete their goals and dreams. Their perseverance is what I liked about them.
They are the ones who do not give up easily and no matter what type of obstacles they faced, they are able to overcome them and continue their way through to fulfil their days. " life is 10 percent what you make it and 90 percent how you take it" by Irving Berlin

What is a haiku?

A haiku is a very important form of traditional Japanese poetry. It is a short poem that uses imagistic language to convey the essence of an experience of nature of the season intuitively linked to the human condition. It is also believed to be originated in the 17th century. Haiku comes in a wide variety of form including one line, visual , three line, two line, four line, free-form and syllabic form. A good haiku capture human perception- movement of being alive conveyed through sensory images. They do not explain nor describe nor provide philosophical or political commentary. Haiku are gifts of the here and now, deliberately incomplete so that the reader can enter into the haiku moment to open the gifts and experience the feelings and insights 0f that moment for his or her self.

Features of haiku

Line length and syllables ( Japanese haiku have seventeen syllables, in groups of five, seven and five. There are experiment evidence showing that the seven syllables line are a little quicker and are exactly equivalent in time-value to the five syllable lines. Therefore, in one sense, of equal length, the middle one have a greater density)

Shortness of Haiku ( A haiku is the smallest language construct that can generate enough complexity to create tension and resonance between its part and take on symbolic power. Filling seventeen syllables with rhythmic ornament or verbal elaboration is a mistake. The haiku should be as short as it can .)

Specific concrete images ( Haiku capture the world as it is: concretely, vividly, and immediately. As with all good descriptive writing, haiku find imagery in the five senses)

Natural/ seasonal references ( There is a clear seasonal reference in haiku, using seasonal words. haiku relate to the natural world concretely, without the use of figurative language. It is based on human experience of the natural world. Haiku helps us understand the world around us, ourselves, and our place in the world more fully.)

Theme ( Theme is at the heart of the poem and characterizes the author's mood or attitude toward his or her subject. The theme is usually not directly stated. Rather, the reader must infer what the author is suggesting.)

Juxtaposition of images/ internal comparisons ( Almost every haiku, there are two images, one on each side of a break in the poem. Without stating it explicitly, the 'starry night poem" beautifully draws a parallel between a melon full of seeds and a night sky replete with stars.)

Wild Flowers
Lost in the forest .

So wild yet so beautiful .

So beautifully wild

Freshly Fallen

Snow lay on the street .

It crunched underneath my feet .

Footprints in the snow.

Rain like emotion

Expressive, cleansing the air

Now I need not cry

The clouds sing softly

Of division and limits

I do not listen

People take drugs in many types of reasons. Some say that they are curious or bored and just wanted to see how drugs will affect their feelings. But everyone reacts differently to drugs, and there is no no way to predict what your reaction will be. Some drugs can kill people in one use. Other think that drugs can make them feel 'good'. They think that if they are unhappy, drugs can make them feel better. And some say that drugs can dealt with their stress in lives. But drugs don't fix the problems that are causing the stress in the first place, and they don't stop the feeling themselves. Many people also take drugs because they mispercept the phrase 'everyone is doing it'. It can be hard to relate to these facts if some of your friends are using drugs, but what you do need to realise , though, is that drugs could eventually become more important to your friends than your friendship. This is true when users become addicted because they grow so dependent on and interested in getting high that they no longer have time for friends.

I think that Global Warming had caused a lot of threats to our atmosphere. Global Warming is the warming up of Earth and is caused by human activities. It is caused by the emission of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere which traps heat from the sun on the Earth's surface, preventing it from escaping. Power plants emits a large amount of carbon dioxide which is produced by the burning off fossil fuels to generate electricity. Carbon dioxide emitted to the atmosphere also comes from the burning of car engines of vehicles. Buildings is said that it represent a larger source of global warming as the structure requires a lot of fuels being burnt.

Methane is obtained from the rice paddles, bovine flatulence , bacteria in bogs and fossil fuels manufacturing. Methane is produced when the fields are flooded, resulting in anaerobic situation build up and organic matter in the soils decays. Another cause of global warming is deforestation which is caused by the cutting down of trees for the development of settlements.

The effects of global warming is the rising of the avenge temperature of the earth's surface. A rise in temperature can in turn root to other alternations in the ecology, including an increase in sea levels and modifying the quantity and pattern of rainfall. An effect of global warming, various new diseases are emerging lately. These disease are occurring lately due to the increase in earth's temperature since bacteria can survive better in elevated temperatures and multiples faster in conditions that are favourable. The global warming is expected to cause irreversible changes in the ecosystem and the behaviour of animals.

All of us can do a part to save the environment. We can monitor the air, sea and land pollution, use cleaner fuels, such as natural gases or hydrogen fuel cells, which produce less or no pollutants, use CFC-products and environment friendly products and use public transport more often instead of your personal car. We can also practise the 3'R's, try not to smoke, save energy to reduce air pollutants given out by power plants and many more.
